Thirty Years. Three Countries. One Complete System of Medicine.
Dr. Geno Diveley, L.Ac., DACM is a doctoral-level, Board-Certified Acupuncturist with over 30 years of active clinical practice across the United States and Japan. Licensed in California — one of the most rigorous acupuncture licensing standards in the country — he built a thriving San Diego practice where he worked directly with collegiate athletes from football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and swimming programs, as well as professional football players. He now brings that same elite clinical standard to Northern Colorado as a mobile concierge practice — delivered privately, at your location, with undivided attention.
The Most Complete System of Medicine Ever Developed — And the One Modern Healthcare Keeps Borrowing From
Dr. Diveley didn't choose acupuncture by accident. After studying the full landscape of healing systems available to a clinician, he made a deliberate choice: Traditional Chinese Medicine is the most complete, most integrated model of the human body ever developed. No other healing system maps the relationship between structure, nervous system, organ function, and emotional health with the same depth and clinical precision. What convinced him wasn't philosophy — it was pattern recognition. Over 30 years of practice, spanning Hawaii, Japan, California, and now Colorado, he watched modern healthcare quietly validate what TCM has always known: Dry needling is trigger point acupuncture — the same needle, the same anatomical targets, a different name. Cupping is a TCM therapy now adopted by physical therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists — because myofascial decompression through negative pressure works, and it always has. IASTM and Graston technique are gua sha — ancient tool-assisted soft tissue mobilization, rediscovered and rebranded under biomedical terminology. Fascial planes are jingjin — the same force transmission lines classical acupuncture has mapped for millennia. Trigger points and motor points are acupuncture points — a 2000 study in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation confirmed 92% anatomical correspondence. The methods were proven over thousands of years of clinical observation. The biomedical explanations came later — and in many cases, the science still hasn't fully caught up. That's not a weakness of acupuncture. It's a limitation of current measurement tools. Where there is stagnation, there is dysfunction. Where there is flow, there is health. That principle is 3,000 years old and no pharmaceutical update has ever disproven it. Our Mission To deliver individualized, results-driven care that restores movement, eliminates pain, and optimizes human performance — brought directly to the client, in private, with undivided clinical attention from a practitioner who has spent 30 years refining this medicine across three countries and at the highest levels of athletic competition.
30 Years. Collegiate and Professional Athletes. Three Countries. 4,000+ Hours of Combined Foundational and Advanced Clinical Training. This Is What Clinical Mastery Actually Looks Like.
Dr. Geno Diveley, L.Ac., DACM is the founder of Acumotion Sports Therapy and Northern Colorado's most credentialed needle specialist. His career spans over 30 years of active clinical practice — not study, not internship, but hands-on clinical work with real patients at the highest levels of athletic performance. His journey began in Hawaii, where he first encountered the depth and precision of Traditional Chinese Medicine and understood immediately that it was the most complete healing system available. He went on to train and practice in Japan — immersing himself in the classical roots of acupuncture and manual medicine in the country where its clinical refinement reached its highest expression outside of China. Returning to the United States, he established a clinical practice in San Diego, California — where he earned his California acupuncture license in 2010, one of the most rigorous licensing standards for acupuncturists in the country. Over more than a decade in San Diego, he worked directly with: • Collegiate athletes from football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and swimming programs • Professional football players requiring precision recovery and performance optimization • Active adults, executives, and chronic pain patients seeking results-driven integrative care His graduate and post-graduate training represents a depth of formal education that is simply unmatched in this region: • Master of Science in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine — Dongguk University Los Angeles (DULA). 2,130 hours of academic coursework. 960 hours of supervised clinical internship. 3,090 total graduate hours. • Transitional Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) — Pacific College of Health and Science. Post-master's doctoral-level training requiring 730+ prior clinical hours for admission eligibility. • Myopain Seminars CMTPT/DN Certification — the gold standard in trigger point dry needling education. 100+ dedicated hours across multiple advanced modules. • Advanced Sports Medicine Acupuncture Training — under Matt Callison, founder of the Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification (SMAC) program. 240 hours. Eligible only to practitioners with 2,000+ prior acupuncture training hours. For context: physical therapists in Colorado may insert needles after a course as short as 27 hours. Chiropractors after approximately 100 hours. Dr. Diveley's combined foundational, doctoral, and advanced specialty training exceeds 4,000 hours — and that number does not include 30 years of daily clinical application. He now brings this entire clinical history to Premium Northern Colorado as a mobile concierge practice — treating orthopedic sports injuries, chronic pain, sciatica, migraines, insomnia, stress and cortisol dysregulation, and the full scope of integrative acupuncture and internal medicine conditions — privately, at your location, with complete clinical focus from the first minute to the last.
